Lindsay and Seth

Ahhhh what a wedding this was!!! I think this was the first time I did so many photos and various creations for a wedding and never took any photos of the bride, the bouquets and boutonnieres. Lindsay and Seth hired Stephanie Baker to do their photos so I will post some when I get to see her beautiful work!! She is amazing!
When Lindsay first came into my shop last year to discuss her flower visions, everything was going to be big and mostly pink, pink, pink. Funny to see the transformation brides go through because when her and her bridesmaids popped in the other day to check out the flowers, we had a nice laugh about where we began and what we were finishing with.
The final choice was Classic and Elegant... just like Lindsay. The style, colors and entire fell of the wedding couldn't have been more fitting to her personality. Her and her mother were such joy to work with, thank you both for the opportunity to create and also letting Antonella tag along.

Turquoise and Peonies

Turquoise and Peonies always make me happy and then to find out I was going to do a simple wedding party using just that.... it made my day and I wasn't even the bride. We used the peonies for the bride in the soft shades of cream and pink and then a bubblegum pink for the bridesmaids with a contrast foliage to tie in with Yosemite. The boutonnieres were designed with a sprig of the foliage and pink ranuculus and then one large peony for the corsages.

Bridal Bouquets

I am trying to keep up on getting some recent work put online so my entire fall and winter season isn't utilized by updating the website. It is now the heart of our wedding season and every time I begin to design, I am forever changing my new favorite color palletes and combinations. I must say this is the year of new and creative brides who are thinking outside the box with their visions and nothing can make us happier than to acheive just that! Below is just 3 different weddings and 3 completely different themes. Which fits your style?

This was a mountain wedding at the Evergreen Lodge on June 6th, 2009. Her colors were navy blue, pale yellow and silver. She is an elegant person in the heart of deep forest nature and let us run with our creativity.

This was also from June 6th. Her colors were silver, lavender and light green. It was very simple, elegant and yet modern.

This wedding was all black and hot pink. With over 600 guests to plan for, she also let us run with our creativity on the details of the day. Every centerpiece she wanted different as long as it was hot pink! Her bouquet was designed with blush mini calla lilies, white cymbidium orchids and tropical foliage to surround the flowers. All of her bridesmaids carried the hot pink lilies and hot pink roses.

Plum and Lavender

This is from Veronica and Williams Wedding which took place Saturday, May 16th, 2009. It was held at the Turlock Country Club and their colors were Plum and Lavender. I like to refer to it as Veronica's Veronica being that her name matches what flowers she chose... not even knowing they shared the same name. They are an adorable couple and Veronica and her mom were such a joy to work with, I now have made new friends!

Scroll of isle petals lightly scattered down the isle.
Her bouquet was filled with White Peonies, Gooseneck Veronica, French Tulips, white Parrot Tulips, Lavender Hyacinth, and Lily of the Valley. Finished with white satin ribbon and some rhinestone pinning.

A last minute location change called for some additons, we decided to hang the white satin ribbon with the crystals for a whimsical effect.

Pomander balls for the girls all had a cut crystal hanging from the bottom of the lavender satin. These doubled up at the reception to hang over the head table at various heights.

Veronica requested centerpieces to be filled with a variety of plum and lavender colored flowers with no roses. We used hydrangea, lisianthus, spider mums, veronica, and wax flower.

The brides friend made the cake and it was covered in fresh cream rose petals and a lot of bling. Her grooms cake was a little patch of green grass and a golf ball on top.

This is the look of the head table before candles and extra petals and before the pomander balls were up.

A preview of what it looked like after. Such an awesome way to make the room complete!

Michelle Obama

We are so pleased and honored to announce that we were a part of the May 16th, 2009 Commencement Speech at UC Merced given by First Lady Michelle Obama.

In addition to the Commencement Speech, we had 4 other weddings going on so all of this took careful

planning and no sleep... not to mention my 6 month old was a trooper and cut her first tooth in the midst of the action.

We were able to contribute 46 Centerpieces for the various V.I.P. luncheons that were taking place around campus, arrangements for Mrs. Obamas preparation

room and the podium where the speeches would take place. Knowing it would be blanketed with the media, 12,000 attendees and also a forecasted 105 degree day, along with specific dimensions given by the secret service, it was the most pressure I have felt since becoming a designer 5

years ago and more than 700 weddings/events later.
